Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and while we may not be able to go out on a fancy date night this year or have the kids trade Valentines with all of their friends in school, this Valentine’s Day treat board will have you forgetting about that fancy night out – it’s a perfect pairing with wine and Netflix, or a special treat for your kids!

Candy starting at $.99
Décor starting at $2.99

Gabe’s is fully stocked with all of the Valentine’s Day goodies that my heart could desire, so on a Sunday morning, I stopped by and stocked up on so many fun heart shaped candies, sprinkles, cookies and décor to build the perfect Valentine’s Day treat board! Follow along to see how you can build your own as well!

Here are the supplies I purchased from Gabe’s:

-          Peppermint Patties shaped like hearts

-          Reese’s pink hearts

-          Golden Oreos

-          Strawberry wafer cookies

-          Pink sprinkles

-          Popcorn

-          Gummy bears

-          Hershey Kisses

-          Conversation hearts

-          Heart jellybeans

-          Valentine’s Day Banner

Obviously, pick out whatever looks or tastes good to you – there are so many possibilities and combinations that would all work perfectly!

And here are the supplies I used from my house:

-          One bag white chocolate chips

-          Serving board

-          One bowl / spoon

-          Heart cookie cutters

Let’s get started ,shall we? The first thing I wanted to do was use the white chocolate and sprinkles on  the popcorn and Golden Oreos to give it a fun touch! It is super simple to do – just heat up your white chocolate in 30 second intervals until it’s perfectly melted, and then dip half your Oreos into the chocolate. Immediately put sprinkles on the chocolate, and pop into the freezer to harden!

Next, take your spoon and drizzle as much chocolate onto your popcorn as you would like! Add sprinkles for a fun touch. You can really use this chocolate on as many cookies or snacks that you want or find at Gabe’s Stores to give it a fun, festive touch!

Next, let’s assemble our board. There is no right or wrong way to do this, but I do suggest unwrapping all of your candy to make for a beautiful presentation. I also utilized cookie cutters to hold the small items like the heart jellybeans and the conversation hearts. Feel free to add in heart dishes if you have them! I also loved the addition of the Valentine’s Day banner, but Gabe’s also had fun Valentine’s Day signs that would be a great addition to your treat board as well.
