Our buyers work hard to get the best deals available so that we can offer you the lowest prices possible. Here’s some of the value-focused terms we use at our company and in our stores.
Big Box: Stores that have large name recognition, are physically large, and are usually part of a chain of stores.
Big Brands: When we say Big Brands, we mean the top famous brands that you know and love—including HUK, Carhartt, Mossy Oak, Betsy Johnson, Bearpaw, Disney, RealTree, and more.
Blue Tags: Part of our Corporate Buys department, these tags are used to indicate our biggest deals in the store—up to 90% off!
Buyout: We make deals with national retailers (so big we can’t even name them here!) to buy what’s left of their recent stock. Then, we sell it for much less than they can.
Clearance: Deep discounts and major markdowns on products—your last chance to buy them—while we make room for new finds.
Closeout: We shop last-chance deals from other stores before they close or products are discontinued. We bring them to Gabe’s to offer big discounts!
Compare At Price: The price you’ll pay at Gabe’s compared to what you’d pay at other stores. Learn more about how we find the Compare At Price for our products here.
Corporate Buys Department: The section featuring discounted merchandise from other stores that we sell to you for less.
Deal: An unbelievable product you’ll find at Gabe’s for so much less!
Discount Retailer: A store that sells products at a lower price than traditional retailers (like the kind you’d see at the mall.)
Dollar Days: Our mega clearance event featuring deals that start at $1, $2, and $3!
Excess Inventory/Overstock: These are the items that are left over after manufacturers sell through their contracted allotment of products to the buyers they work with. At Gabe’s we often buy excess inventory from big stores so that we can offer it to shoppers at lower prices.
Factory Seconds: Retail items that are sold at a reduced rate due to a slight imperfection or manufacturer error.
Fresh Deals Daily: This is how we refer to the truckloads of items that come to our stores each week, so that we can stock new items on the floor each day. It means that if you come to Gabe’s every day you’ll still find something new!
Liquidation: Products that are sold for cash, usually after a store closes. That means when a store liquidates or goes out of business, we buy their products and offer them to you at a super-low price.
Mall Stores/Mall Brands: The famous retailers you’d usually find at your local shopping mall. You can shop them for less at Gabe’s!
Truckload: How we buy our closeout deals—in huge truckloads from top retailers. We bring the trucks in, process the items, and price them much less!
Verified Tech: Many of our stores offer top tech from brands including Apple and Samsung that has been refurbished and verified for sale at deeply discounted prices. The items are unlocked so you can simply pop your SIM card in and go. The refurbisher offers a 90-day warranty and we only offer Grade A items, the highest quality available on the secondary market. All tech is data sanitized and rigorously tested for you!
